Devastating D.E.V.I (Divine and Ethnic Values of India)
DEVI, a symbol of Power, Love, Sacredness, Divinity, Femininity in Indian culture is in danger. Not because of any Devil or Predator but because of the stinking ideology of some of the so called Men of our society. Men who don't like her wearing short clothes, Men who don't like her roaming around at late hours, Men who don't like her outings to Disco, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants. Men who don't like her working late in Corporate.
Men who want to teach lesson for everything she does to live her life.
RAPE.... Is not just any incident, it shatters the life of a girl. The trauma which the girl faces can't be described in words. Some of our leaders believe that Rape is no crime, its just some guys commit "Mistakes" and they should not be hanged to death for such minor crimes. Well I think If a guy is attempting such heinous crime he won't be spared. For such Leaders I just want to ask one question that is, if the girl would be from your own family, will the definition of "Mistake" will remain the same?? It can be a Mistake according to you or according to your stinking moral values, but for all of us this is the most Heinous crime one can commit. Leaders like you are a big stain on our society.

Have you ever imagined the life of a girl after such incident, the memories she had of that incident. The memories which actually marks a dent on her thoughts, can never be erased or replaced by anything. For some girls this ends their life, while some others witness living Hell.
INDIA.... Where A girl is being raped in every 20 minutes. The actual data of Rape in India can be much more higher than this figure as these are the reported cases only. Lot of cases can not even reach to the authorities, while some others choose not to complaint for the sake of their image, while in some cases the family keeps quiet just because the Rapist had a political backing, or in the worst case the Police personnel pressurize the victim and the family to compromise.
Its not like that young girls are the only victims, females from all castes and creed, from any age group can be a victim. Girls are not safe in our country not in School, Colleges, Offices, Hospitals, Parks, Theaters, Malls,Trains,Temples,Buses, Locals and Metros. Even the Police stations which are meant to maintain law and order are not safe for our ladies. What can be more shameful for a country or a society where the so called educated and sensible people such as a school teacher, a policeman, a lawyer, a doctor founds guilty of such crimes. Some incidents are so brutal that they can't be explained. What kind of human can attempt rape on a 2 year old girl child or even on a 10 months old baby. What was the fault of that little child?? Was she wearing short clothes??? Was she roaming around in late hours??? Was her actions invited the rapist??? Whattttt???? What was the reason for her being Raped???

We have not learned anything from the Brutal incident of "Nirbhaya" (16 Dec 2012). The same incident which realized us that how unsafe our females are. How easy it is for one to commit rape in India, and to get away with it. What is the point of having a Government which can't even Govern their own Females. A "Juvenile" commits such heinous crime and easily gets away with it just because his age was 17 at the time of that act. how can we be so unrealistic at the time of judgement. If he along with all the fellow culprits would be sentenced to Death than it will be a message for all the Juveniles. The Judicial system is so weak that over 31,000 cases of Rape are still pending with the High courts. The judgments for Rape cases should be on Fast track basis. So that nobody dares to touch a women with wrong intentions.
I have seen the recent BANNED documentary "Daughter of India" from BBC, and like every Indian I was also shocked after hearing one of the prime accused saying," Aadhi raat ko ldke k sath ghumegi to aisa hi hoga"(If a girl roams around with a guy at midnight, she deserves a treatment like this). The real shock came after listening to the defense lawyers. Both the lawyers A.P.Singh and M.L.Sharma stated that ,"if a girl is friend with a guy before her marriage, than it is unethical, and if my girl will do something like this I'll burn her alive". My question to the Govt. is, do you really think Banning this movie will make any good to our society. These litter bags like A.P.Singh and M.L.Sharma will keep talking rubbish like this only. So instead of banning a documentary you should make necessary arrangement for such people, so that they will stop spreading this venom of hatred and honor killing.

According to a survey 6 out of 10 girl child are a victim of "Child Sexual Abuse", and in 90% of such cases family members, relatives or neighbors turns out the accused. Means a girl child is nowhere safe, not with her own relatives and friends. The story of Veera (a character played by Alia Bhatt in "Highway") reflects the same ideology of our society. Where a family friend sexually abused the girl for a very long period of time, the girl then narrated the whole incident to her mother, but surprisingly that mother told her to keep mum on this issue. This can be the story of many little girls, where the family mums the child for raising the issue.
So this is my request to such parents that please listen to your child and save her from the unseen devils of society. Also you can describe the limits of touch to her, so that when someone try to touch her with foul intentions she can describe the same to you. It is our responsibility to teach them about right and wrong. Also the male child should be thought to respect the females, so that he can never develop any negative intention toward the opposite sex. Women according to our culture, is an avatar of Devi. So now is the time we should let Devi live in a Rape free Country.
